Sticky BBQ Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp BBQ rub
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

    Set up the grill for two-zone cooking, indirect side around 375°F.

    Pat thighs dry, rub with oil, and coat with BBQ rub.

    Start skin-side up on the indirect side for 25 minutes.

    Whisk BBQ sauce with vinegar and honey.

    Move thighs to direct heat, skin-side down, for 3 minutes to crisp.

    Flip, brush generously with sauce, close the lid 2 minutes.

    Flip again, sauce the skin side, close 2 more minutes.

    Pull at an internal temp of 175°F — thighs love a little extra time.
